Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Jonathan Greening has taken to Instagram to suggest that he enjoyed his time with the football club.
The midfielder joined Forest in 2011 and would have three seasons at the City Ground. Signing from Fulham, he would play 49 times for the Reds during his stay on Trentside.
In signing for Forest he was reunited with Steve McClaren who he had worked under in the early days of his career at Manchester United and later at Middlesbrough.

Greening played 36 games in his first season at the club, but would only manage another 19 appearances during the next two seasons.
Nonetheless, it would appear that Greening enjoyed his time at the club and reserved special praise for the club in a Thursday throwback on his Instagram:
Greening wasn’t an overly popular figure with supporters. He arrived as one of McClaren’s signings and was largely tarnished by the ex-England boss’ woeful record in charge of Forest.
Despite playing for the club during a pretty traumatic period it would appear that Greening still holds the club in the highest regard.
Although the 40-year-old didn’t hit lofty heights at Forest, few can argue whether or not he had a decent career.
He played 27 times for Manchester United, helped Middlesbrough to League Cup glory in 2004 and also played for Fulham in their run to the Europa League Final back in 2011.
