Nottingham Forest were beaten 1-0 by Wigan Athletic yesterday afternoon, ending a run of 10 games without defeat for the Reds.
Boss Sabri Lamouchi couldn’t celebrate being named Manager of the Month for September with a victory, although on another day they might have taken something from the contest.
The Forest boss rang the changes for the trip to Wigan. He chose to make no fewer than five from the starting eleven that looked so impressive against Wigan prior to the international break.
It backfired big style and some of those players might find themselves back in contention for the home game with Hull City on Wednesday.
Following the match, Seat Pitch ran a poll on Twitter asking supporters who they thought the Man of the Match was.
Brice Samba, Matty Cash, Sammy Ameobi and substitute Tiago Silva were the ones nominated, with hundreds of supporters casting their vote.
With the results now in, goalkeeper Samba has taken the accolade with 48% of the votes. Cash came second with 25%, Silva third with 18% and Ameobi winning just 9%:
Might prove tricky this but who was your Man of the Match today? #NFFC

Samba has been a revelation since signing for the Reds for £1.9 million (Nottinghamshire Live) from Caen in the summer.
He was forced to wait patiently behind Arijanet Muric at the start of the season but he is now firmly established as the club’s number one goalkeeper.
Yesterday at Wigan he was at his solid best and although he was powerless to prevent Jamal Lowe’s winning goal, he still made two or three fine stops to ensure Forest stayed in the contest.
Samba has signed a four-year contract at the City Ground and Forest fans will hope he becomes a mainstay in the team for many more years.
