Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 by Hull City at the City Ground last night to compound Sabri Lamouchi to back-to-back defeats in the Sky Bet Championship.
Goals from Josh Magennis and Jarrod Bowen gave the Tigers a much-needed win, with Matty Cash’s goal proving to be nothing more than a consolation in the end.
The Reds will have an immediate chance to get back to winning ways on Saturday when Reading are entertained at the City Ground and Reds boss knows he must rediscover the winning formula.
Forest played the last 25 minutes of last night’s game with 10 men after Magennis was shown a straight red card for a nasty challenge on Ben Watson.
Despite late pressure, the Reds couldn’t find an equalising goal and they were perhaps left to bemoan a bizarre decision from the referee, Oliver Langford.
Sammy Ameobi had managed to get in front of Eric Lichaj who first pulled the shirt from his back and then lunged in from behind to try unsuccessfully to win the ball.
Forest were denied, however, a decision which former Forest loan star Darren Huckerby wasn’t overly happy about, offering the following response on Twitter:
Huckerby joined Forest on loan in 2003 and helped the Reds to the play-offs under the management of Paul Hart.
He struck up a formidable threesome alongside David Johnson and Marlon Harewood and the Reds were desperately unlucky not to go up that season.

The speedster scored five goals in nine appearances for Forest and he clearly thinks a lot of his hometown club following his tweet regarding last night’s penalty call.
In truth, Forest didn’t really deserve anything from the game but it was a bad decision looking back at the footage.
