Nottingham Forest have endured a frustrating week having suffered back-to-back defeats against Wigan Athletic and Hull City in the Championship.
The Reds had been on a 10-match unbeaten run before last weekend, but they haven’t been able to maintain that since returning from the international break.
Forest have now slipped to eighth in the Championship, but are still firmly in the mix. Sabri Lamouchi will be hoping his side can end their mini-slump when Reading visit the City Ground tomorrow.

The Reds haven’t been helped by some of their main creative sparks looking completely out of form. No-one has looked more out of sorts than Joe Lolley on the right-hand side.
The 27-year-old was a crucial player for the Reds last season as he contributed with 12 goals and registered 12 assists. The Reds could’ve easily sold him to a Premier League club for a significant profit in the summer.

It’s fair to say that he has arguably become a victim of his own success last season. It was always unlikely that he would be able to carry on contributing with goals and assists at the same rate.
Critics
There’s no doubt that he isn’t the only player currently lacking in confidence. The likes of João Carvalho, Sammy Ameobi and Lewis Grabban all also struggled against the Tigers.

Lolley came in for some significant criticism following the defeat against the Tigers on Wednesday. He struggled to make an impact throughout the game, as the Reds again struggled to create many clear chances.
One supporter voiced his concern that the winger might’ve been found out after his heroics last season:
However, it didn’t take long for the 27-year-old to respond. He said: “I’m honest and accept I haven’t been at my best for whatever reason. But I’m only one goal down on this time last year (when I apparently wasn’t too bad). So I’m pretty excited for when things click. Won’t be for a lack of trying anyway.”

Lolley will be hoping he can respond in the best possible way against Reading at the City Ground on Saturday.
