Nottingham Forest suffered back-to-back defeats in the Championship for the first time this season as they were beaten 2-1 by Hull City at the City Ground on Wednesday.
The Reds have still made a good start to the season under Sabri Lamouchi, despite their recent defeats against Wigan Athletic and Hull. They’ve shown they have the credentials to challenge for promotion.
One of the major concerns following the last two performances though has been the lack of chances the Reds have created.

It hasn’t helped that Lamouchi’s main creative sparks all look to be desperately out of form at the same time. The likes of João Carvalho, Sammy Ameobi, and most notably Joe Lolley all failed to reach their usual standards against Hull.
Problems
One man who certainly didn’t look out of form on Wednesday was one who could have quite easily been in Lamouchi’s squad for the 2019/20 campaign.
The Sun (26/05/19, Page 69) claimed that the Reds were hoping to sign Kamil Grosicki for £2.5 million. This was before Lamouchi was appointed as manager, but he’ll now understand why the Reds were keen on landing the winger.

It’s fair to say that Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen on the other side of the pitch tormented Forest throughout the match. The Reds simply couldn’t cope with their attacking threat on the counter.
With the likes of Lolley and Ameobi currently underperforming, Grosicki’s rampaging performance would’ve had supporters wondering what might’ve been.
The 31-year-old has already contributed with four goals in the Championship this season. He didn’t find the back of the net against the Reds, but he did play a huge part in the away side’s opening goal and was a general nuisance throughout.

It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that the Reds could reignite their interest in Grosicki. However, his recent performances may attract the attention of Premier League sides.
Grosicki is currently Hull’s highest earner of £25,000-a-week and can leave the KCOM Stadium for free next summer, according to the Hull Daily Mail.
If his most recent performance at the City Ground is anything to go by, there’s going to be a host of clubs queuing up for his signature.
