Nottingham Forest will hold a desire to get back to winning ways when Reading arrive at the City Ground tomorrow following back-to-back defeats earlier this week.

The Reds were rolled over by Wigan on Sunday and Hull City on Wednesday, leaving boss Sabri Lamouchi with plenty to ponder moving forward.

Forest weren’t great in Wednesday’s home defeat against the Tigers and the Reds boss will want his team to put on a show for the club’s expectant supporters.

After such a mediocre showing in midweek, we look at three critical changes Lamouchi must consider making for the Reading contest:

Jack Robinson out, Yuri Ribeiro in

The left-back wasn’t great in either of the two recent defeats and the injection of pace that Ribeiro brings might see him get the nod on Saturday.

The Portuguese performer operated on the left-wing at Wigan and played pretty well.

At 22, it will naturally take a little while for him to get up to speed with the demands of the Championship but when called upon he has done a terrific job in Lamouchi’s team.

Ryan Yates in, Joao Carvalho out

Given that Carvalho has looked out of sorts lately, it might seem like the right team to unleash Yates from the start and let Tiago Silva play in the number 10 role.

The 22-year-old academy graduate is yet to start a league game this season due to needing a minor operation on a sore knee.

He will be chomping at the bit to start and Forest did look a lot more balanced when he was introduced during the second half of the Hull defeat.

Sammy Ameobi out, Albert Adomah in

The ex-Aston Villa man is far more effective when he starts games and having not started one since September he is certainly due a run in the team.

Ameobi was unplayable against Stoke during the second 45 minutes but he can drift in and out of contests occasionally.

In the recent two defeats, he wasn’t at his fluent best and the time might be right for Adomah to get another opportunity from the off.
