Nottingham Forest have confirmed the departure of Alex Milosevic on their official website today, ending the defender’s eight-month stay at the City Ground.
The man with seven caps for Sweden leaves after making 12 appearances for the Reds and scoring one goal. His contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
It is perhaps a surprising decision from the club considering his quality. He had dropped down to the fifth choice, although with Michael Dawson currently carrying an injury it may now leave the Reds a little bit short.

Milosevic signed in February at a time when the club was desperately short on defensive options and it’s fair to suggest that he did a job for the club.
The return of Joe Worrall has hampered his chances a little bit. Following a year at Rangers, he has earnt a spot in Sabri Lamouchi’s team and few could argue with his current status for the first-team.
That hasn’t stopped Forest fans feeling a little bit saddened by his departure, although many believe this outcome was pretty much inevitable.

Milosevic will now actively pursue his next chapter and it will be interesting to see where he does earn himself a deal.
