The tricky winger might have to prove himself all over again, however.

Despite sitting second in Segunda Division Pedro Emanuel was sacked as the head coach last week. He has now been replaced by former Real Madrid galactico Guti, as reported by AS.

Almeria haven’t lost for five matches and Guti will oversee his first game in charge against Real Zaragoza at the weekend.

The former midfielder has previously managed Real Madrid’s youth team and also worked as an assistant at Turkish giants Besiktas. His new gig at Almeria will see him take sole charge of a senior team for the first time, however.
