Nottingham Forest have made a decent start to the 2019/20 campaign and with each victory claimed teams will be starting to take notice of the Reds.
Boss Sabri Lamouchi has arrived in English football and taken to it with absolute aplomb, much to the delight of the Forest supporters.
Behind the scenes, the club will probably be working extremely hard to identify a string of targets for the January transfer window.

Some rumours on Twitter yesterday claimed that Jack Clarke might be on Forest’s radar (Nottinghamshire Live). The youngster is currently on loan at Leeds following an £11 million move to Tottenham in the summer (Independent).
The rumours could prove idle at this stage, although we at Nottingham Forest News looked at three reasons why Clarke could prove a savvy piece of business for the Reds.
Point to prove
Clarke returning to Leeds on loan has been a complete waste of time. The 18-year-old hasn’t played a single minute in the league this season, settling for just two appearances in the EFL Cup.
Tottenham won’t be happy with his game time and it seems certain that Clarke will be recalled in January and offloaded somewhere else.

Given that he hasn’t played much football this season, the Leeds academy graduate will be desperate to prove himself to the Premier League club ahead of returning in the summer of 2020.
Mauricio Pochettino is known for handing younger players the chance to shine and if Clarke can impress during the second half of this season, he may earn a chance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during 2020/21.
Knows the Championship
Last season Clarke started four games, scoring twice and registering two assists. He was often used as a substitute and made many more appearances from the bench.
One of Clarke’s strikes came against Forest at the City Ground and during the second half of that game he looked very impressive.

He has had a taste of the league and he would fit in with the likes of Sammy Ameobi and Albert Adomah when it comes to boasting Championship expertise.
If Forest are still in a similar position in the table when the transfer window reopens, they will surely target a couple of players capable of leading them over the line. Clarke showed enough at Leeds last season to suggest he would be capable of doing just that.
Future star
Tottenham wouldn’t have parted with the cash to secure Clarke’s services if they didn’t fancy him to progress into a top player.
The teenager boasts pace to burn, can score decent goals and has more than one trick up his sleeve when it comes to beating opposition defenders.

Forest could secure a seriously talented player if they can lure Clarke to the City Ground. If they could get the winger back into some sort of form, it could bode well when it comes to pursuing other Premier League youngsters in the future.
