José Anigo may have only joined Nottingham Forest last month, but he’ll already be busy looking at potential new players to strengthen Sabri Lamouchi’s squad.
José Anigo has opened up to RMC about what is expected of him at the City Ground. Not only this, but he has highlighted the key differences between the recruitment processes in England and France.

Anigo is only just starting out life as Head of International Recruitment at the City Ground, but he’s already fully aware of his responsibility.
The Reds have made a promising start to the season under the management of Lamouchi. The upcoming winter transfer window could prove to be pivotal if they are to continue their push for promotion to the Premier League.
Speaking about his role to RMC, Anigo said: “The work is completely different in England compared to in France. There are a lot of analysts, people who work hard, who gather information.

Pressure
“Each person has their job, nobody interferes in the work of someone else, so on that point, when you say to the President, or the Director General, or the Sporting Director, they do not ask how or why.
“You assume your responsibilities. The flip side, is that if you are wrong, you will be fired.”
Anigo had already been working at the City Ground for a few months but took his place on the permanent payroll last month, alongside Francois Modesto who was appointed as Technical Director.

It’s fair to say that Evangelos Marinakis will be hoping Anigo can unearth a hidden gem from somewhere across the globe.
There’s no doubt that he does have an eye for player. He has spotted the talent of Steve Mandanda, Samir Nasri, Didier Drogba and Dimitri Payet already in his career.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how he fares with the Reds. He seems more than up for the challenge.
