It’s fair to say that Lamouchi has really turned the club’s fortunes around and has introduced an exciting brand of football.

The Reds have been superb defensively, conceding just 13 goals in 15 league fixtures, and have scored 20 goals.

Given the squad depth that the Reds have, some City Ground faithful will perhaps expect the team to fight for one of the two automatic promotion places.

Goalkeeper Samba believes that for the Reds to get promoted from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season, they need to maintain the current togetherness throughout the squad.

“It’s very important for the objective of the season,” said Samba when questioned about the team’s spirit by the club’s official media team.

“It’s very important that the team is all together. There’s a good relationship between the team right now.”
