His performances have reportedly seen Everton declare their interest in the 22-year-old. The Sun (Print Edition; 16/11, page 72) claimed last week that Crystal Palace and Southampton were also in the race for his signature.

Samba has been a revelation since arriving from Caen in the summer.

When he arrived at the club it was deemed a pointless signing by some supporters who questioned Forest’s need for another goalkeeper.

Since displacing Aro Muric in goal, the 25-year-old has produced a string of fine performances to propel Forest into fifth.

Quality

According to Who Scored, Samba’s rating so far this season is an average of 7.0; with Cash slightly higher with 7.3.

Both players will hope to keep their places in Sabri Lamouchi’s team this weekend when Forest head to Bristol City.
