Nottingham Forest defender Jack Robinson’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
Jack Robinson has struggled to retain his place in Sabri Lamouchi’s starting line-up this season. This has created some doubt as to whether the Reds will extend his current contract.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if a number of sides are monitoring the defender’s situation. The Reds will have to offer the 26-year-old a new contract soon if they want to avoid other teams sniffing around.
Given the issues the Reds have previously had at left-back, it wouldn’t make much sense to let Robinson leave. He may currently be behind Yuri Ribeiro in the pecking order, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a key part to play.
The former Liverpool full-back has made 12 appearances so far this season. He is yet to replicate the form he showed last season, particularly under the management of Aitor Karanka.

However, he’s still shown that he has the experience to be a useful member of Lamouchi’s squad.
‘Reliable’
Some Nottingham Forest fans have been having their say on the defender’s situation on Twitter. The majority of them would like to see the defender offered a new deal to stay at the City Ground:
Yes, as long as he’s happy to rotate with Yuri

Yes cant allow left backs to leave. Problems we’ve had in that position past few years

Yep reliable and does a decent job

Yes he’s a good lad

Definitely. Still one of the best left backs we’ve had in a long time. We need cover.

The Reds have a significant number of games coming up heading into the festive period. It all gets underway this afternoon as the Reds travel to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol City.
Lamouchi has made it clear that he’ll need to utilise his squad during this period.

That’ll be music to Robinson’s ears. He’ll be relishing the battle with Ribeiro for a place in the team.
It’ll be interesting to see who Lamouchi opts to go with against the Robins.
