Nottingham Forest continued their good start to the season against Bristol City at Ashton Gate in the Championship, as they secured a goalless draw despite being reduced to 10-men.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi may be tempted to make a number of changes on Wednesday, with a number of important fixtures coming up in a short period of time.

The Reds may be slightly disappointed they didn’t pick up all three points in Bristol, but with Lamouchi’s men still sat just five points off the automatic promotion places, there are plenty of reasons to be positive.

It’s fair to say that it wasn’t the best performance from the Reds. However, they were still able to pick up a good result in the circumstances.

Brice Samba once again impressed in net for the Reds. He shared his delight at keeping another clean sheet on his Instagram following the goalless draw:

There’s no doubt that the Reds were well-supported at Ashton Gate. 2,309 away supporters made the lengthy trip to Bristol. They showed their support for Lamouchi’s men and were in fine voice all game.

Cagey

They could’ve even been celebrating a win had Lewis Grabban converted his chance in the second-half. In truth, both sides struggled to create many clear chances. It was certainly a cagey affair.

This isn’t the first time this season when the Reds have come away with a result when they haven’t been at their best. It’s certainly not a bad trait to have. It’s something that the Reds have struggled to do in recent years.

The club’s supporters will be hoping that the Reds can get back to winning ways on Wednesday. They’ll be hoping the Reds can pick up all three points against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

The Reds need to ensure that they play with a bit more urgency going forward if they want to secure all three points.

They’ll certainly be confident of returning to winning ways against QPR. They haven’t been in the best of form of late under the management of Mark Warburton.
