Nottingham Forest earned a share of the spoils from their trip to Bristol City at the weekend. A 0-0 draw ensured Sabri Lamouchi’s team stayed fifth in the Championship.
The game wasn’t without incident. Ryan Yates was dismissed in the 57th minutes for a shocking challenge on Adam Nagy.
Forest dug in though and were well worth their point. Lee Johnson’s team couldn’t muster a single shot on target against a Reds side that played for over half an hour with 10-men.

There were several performances which caught the eye. One which drew praise from respected journalist Henry Winter was that of 22-year-old Matty Cash.
The right-back was once again energetic down the right-hand side. He was strong in defence and linked up well with the team’s attacking options going forward.
Winter writes for The Times and he was mightily impressed, letting his followers know that Cash is ready for the Premier League.
Cash made his debut for Forest in 2016 and has since played over 100 matches for the Reds.
This season he has been adopted as a right-back following injuries to Carl Jenkinson and Tendayi Darikwa.
The academy graduate looks to be destined for the top-flight at some point and supporters will hope it’s with Forest.
Versatility
Cash has always performed pretty well for the Reds wherever he has played but this season he has come of age.

He is becoming the player with the utility man tag and it would appear he will play anywhere to aid Lamouchi’s cause.
Everton, Southampton and Crystal Palace were reportedly linked with Cash recently (The Sun). The £12 million bid that has been touted would surely be well shy of Forest’s valuation of the player.
Cash’s immediate focus will be on continuing to improve and as a result, ensure Forest maintain their lofty league position.
