Nottingham Forest will undoubtedly be compiling a list of transfer targets behind the scenes ahead of the January transfer window.
The Reds added 12 new players during the summer and many of them have made an immediate impact.
Forest chose to utilise the European market on the whole. Samba Sow, Alfa Semedo, Brice Samba and Yuri Ribeiro have made particularly telling contributions.
The one priority during January will be a striker. Lewis Grabban is the man with the sizeable mantle of scoring goals firmly on his shoulders.

Rafa Mir signed on loan from Wolves, although he is yet to score and the jury remains out.
You have to go back to April and a 1-0 win over QPR when a striker scored for Forest that wasn’t Grabban.
The 31-year-old is an incredible striker but taking some of the goalscoring pressure off his shoulders could actually improve him.
Spending big money might not be the order of the day when it comes to another striker. Indeed, the loan market could be the strategy to take when it comes to January.

One man who might be worth a look is Tottenham youngster Troy Parrott.
The 17-year-old has only made one Carabao Cup appearances for the first-team this season. The majority of his football has come for the under-18 outfit.
Parrott is highly-rated and it seems certain that the Republic of Ireland under-21 man will gain some experience on loan at some point.
Whoever comes into support Grabban cant expect to play every game. If the Forest talisman is fit, he will play more often than not.

Parrott would certainly get more exposure to first-team football at Forest than he will at Spurs between now and the end of the season.
Limited chances
Jose Mourinho has recently been appointed the boss and he doesn’t exactly have a glowing record when it comes to trusting youth.
Of course, that might change at Spurs. His remit will be to revive Tottenham’s fortunes, however, and that should lead him to the tried and tested approach.
Forest signing Parrott would be relatively low-risk. The Reds have Grabban scoring goals and quite simply require a deputy should anything happen to him.

Mourinho has omitted Parrott from his Champions League squad this week. Spurs face Olympiacos at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but Parrott will play in the UEFA Youth League instead.
Forest could do a lot worse than ask some questions about the youngster and he would compliment their squad if a loan deal can be struck.
Parrott is quick, strong and has an eye for goal. He possesses all the attributes to succeed in the Championship and he would be an asset from the bench as an alternative to Grabban.
