Samba has been a revelation at the City Ground since joining from SM Caen. He has been put forward for the award on the basis that he kept four clean sheets in November.

Not only this, but the 25-year-old has made a number of vital saves for the Reds. There’s no doubt that he now has the trust of the defenders, which has a huge knock-on effect on their performances.

He has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season. It’s vital that he stays fit if the Reds are continue to push for promotion.

As for Cash, it isn’t a surprise to see him in contention for yet another award.

The 22-year-old helped the Reds keep four clean sheets in November by making 18 tackles and making nine interceptions in November. It’s no surprise that the Reds opted to pin him down to a new contract last week.

His performances have been so good that he’s even been linked with a move to the Premier League.

It’s certainly a positive for the Reds that both Samba and Cash are playing well. However, they’ll be hoping they can fend off any interest in their prize assets with the transfer window just around the corner.
