Nottingham Forest were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw as Millwall scored in stoppage at the New Den.

The Reds were dreadful in the first half. Sabri Lamouchi’s decision to go with three central defenders and drop Lewis Grabban, Joe Lolley and Joao Carvalho backfired big time.

Millwall ran rings around Forest in the first half. Gary Rowett’s organised team will be disappointed they didn’t put the game to bed during a dominant period.

The Reds hung in the contest though and when the big guns were introduced from the bench there only looked like being one winner.

After a brace from Grabban, Forest will be disappointed not to have held on and won the game. Nonetheless, it looks a decent point on the road given the rollercoaster nature of the game.

Rafa Mir started the game in attack and once again looked badly out of his depth.

It is now 17 games for the striker across spells with parent club Wolves and Forest without a goal and it’s easy to see why.

His movement was shocking and he failed to do his job of holding the ball up, during a first-half when Forest couldn’t make anything stick in the final third.

Mir doesn’t ever look capable of doing a job for the Reds and January could see a decision made on his future.

Following another below-par performance, here is a selection of tweets from the Forest faithful:
