Nottingham Forest weren’t able to get back to winning ways in the Championship on Friday as they conceded in stoppage time against Millwall.
The Reds fell behind after just 15 minutes as Shaun Williams headed home unmarked from a corner. However, Lewis Grabban’s introduction in the second-half sparked the Reds into life.
The 31-year-old scored twice in quick succession to put Sabri Lamouchi’s men ahead with a few minutes to go. It wasn’t enough to secure the three points though, as Aidan O’Brien equalised late on for the hosts.
Lamouchi will have plenty to ponder when he selects his team for tomorrow night’s game against Middlesbrough.
Some players were below-par against Millwall, whilst other players could make a long-awaited return from injury.
Nottingham Forest News looked at a potential line-up which Lamouchi could select this week:
Goalkeeper and back four
Brice Samba didn’t have his best game against Millwall. He admitted fault for their equalising goal, but has done more than enough to continue in goal for the Reds.
Lamouchi opted to play with three centre-backs against Millwall, but is likely to return to a back four for this one. Michael Dawson may come in to replace Tobias Figueiredo and play alongside Joe Worrall at centre-back.
Matty Cash is likely to continue at right-back. However, there could be a change at left-back as Yuri Ribeiro is said to be fit ahead of tonight’s game.
Jack Robinson has been performing well, but Ribeiro adds a bit more attacking threat.
Ryan Yates could return to the starting line-up having served his three game suspension for his red card against Bristol City. Alfa Semedo looked rusty against Millwall, so Lamouchi may be tempted to bring Yates straight back in.
Samba Sow is said to be close to a return, but is unlikely to be thrown straight into the starting line-up.
34-year-old midfielder Ben Watson continues to be ever-present under Lamouchi. He’s likely to start again in this one.
Tiago Silva wasn’t able to have as much of an impact as he would’ve liked on Friday. However, he’s likely to retain his place in the starting line-up for tonight’s game given his performances this season.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Sammy Ameobi was dropped tonight. He was poor against Millwall and could be replaced by Albert Adomah.
Joe Lolley looked lively when he was introduced off-the-bench. He’s likely to come back into the starting line-up for tonight’s game and should be fresh.
Surely Lewis Grabban has to come back into the side having scored two goals in the second-half against Millwall. Rafa Mir did little to suggest he is worthy of keeping his place in the starting line-up.
Here is how Lamouchi’s team might line-up for tonight’s game:
