Nottingham Forest have been handed a huge fitness boost after their 2-0 victory over Hull City.

Samba Sow hobbled off just before half-time and some supporters had feared a recurrence of his recent hamstring injury.

The midfield battering ram has taken to Twitter to confirm the injury is ‘nothing serious’, however, implying he’ll be back soon.

With the games coming thick and fast, Forest could really do without losing Sow again.

The 31-year-old has been a revelation since signing from Dinamo Moscow in the summer and was instrumental at Hull.

His dogged determination earned Forest the chance to take the lead from the penalty spot and he has proved a quality signing.

Sow worked well in tandem with Alfa Semedo and gave Forest a solid resolution which had been found wanting in recent weeks.

With games against Wigan and Blackburn on the horizon, the Reds will see it as an opportunity to get some more points on the board.

It’s fair to say that Sow is a popular figure among fans and they are delighted with his tweet confirming some good news.
