Nottingham Forest were forced to settle for a point after a dramatic finish against Reading at the Madejski Stadium yesterday.

Midfielder Ben Watson smashed Forest into a lead with 90+5 on the clock, yet somehow allowed the Royals to earn a share of the spoils.

Watson’s third goal of the season came in the final minute of five additional minutes at the end of the game. The referee allowed another two minutes to lapse, however, with Tobias Figueiredo putting through his own net.

The result means that Forest slip a place in the table to fifth but maintain a three-point cushion on the team just outside the play-off places.

Forest have one of the best away records in the Championship but game management has been lacking on the road in recent weeks.

In December, the Reds took the lead at Millwall in the 89th minute, yet once again had to settle for a point following a late equaliser.

Those four lost points might prove costly to Forest, although they do now have two home games to make up some ground.
