Nottingham Forest have already been linked with a host of strikers in January, but one player who hasn’t been mentioned for a while is Lawrence Shankland.
Whether or not the Reds will be able to bring a new striker to the City Ground this month remains to be seen but Sabri Lamouchi’s side are certainly scouring the market for potential additions – particularly now Rafa Mir has returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers early.

The Reds have been linked with the likes of Glenn Murray, Dwight Gayle, and Jonathan Kodjia to name a few, but they haven’t been able to strike a deal with any of them as of yet.
Fortunately, they aren’t the only strikers that the Reds could take a look at this month.
The Scottish Sun claimed in November that the Reds have been keeping a close eye on the exciting Scottish forward Lawrence Shankland.
Hotshot
The 24-year-old is currently enjoying life at Dundee United, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see clubs move for him this month.

According to the Daily Express, Dundee United have valued the striker at around £2 million.
That being said, the Terrors are also understood to be adamant that the striker won’t be leaving in January.
There’s no doubt that Shankland would be a good signing for the Reds.
Shankland has scored 25 goals in 26 appearances for Dundee United in all competitions so far this season.

If they could sign Shankland for a fee around the £2 million mark, he would surely count as a low-risk signing given his record.
