Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Adama Diakhaby from Huddersfield Town on loan before this month’s transfer window slams shut, according to well-respected journalist Alan Nixon.
Forest. Trying for Diakhaby at Huddersfield on loan. Quick. Unpredictable. Wide. French side Amiens also in. Bonne chance.

According to Get French Football News, the 23-year-old winger is one of three players that the Terriers are looking to move on.
Ligue 1 strugglers Amiens SC are also understood to be interested in Diakhaby.
It isn’t a surprise that a number of clubs are monitoring his situation. Diakhaby has been capped for France at Under-21 level. He also scored two goals in 22 Ligue 1 appearances for AS Monaco.
There’s a reason why Huddersfield paid around £9 million (Transfermarkt) for his services in 2018.
It just hasn’t worked out for him at the John Smith’s Stadium.
He has made 18 appearances this season in the Championship. He has failed to find the back of the net, but has picked up three assists.
There’s no doubt that the winger would add something different to Sabri Lamouchi’s squad.
Lamouchi only has the likes of Joe Lolley, Sammy Ameobi and Albert Adomah to choose from in wide areas.
Diakhaby’s ability to play on either wing or as a central attacking midfielder would give the Reds more options in the final third.
The Reds have been criticised for not creating enough chances. Diakhaby is the sort of player who could create something out of nothing with his pace.
That being said, there are doubts over his end product, and whether he is suited to the division.
Lamouchi may fancy his chances of getting the best out of him though.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see whether the 23-year-old turns out to be the first player to arrive at the City Ground this month.
