Nottingham Forest could be about to sell Chema Rodriguez to Getafe for £1.4 million, according to Spanish outlet SER.
The Spaniard only arrived in the summer and has played 10 games for the Reds during 2019/20.
Rodriguez has played at centre-back and at left-back during his time at the City Ground and a departure would seem strange.

The Reds have already allowed Jack Robinson to join Sheffield United this month.
If the ex-Levante man was allowed to go as well it would leave Yuri Ribeiro as the only left-back in Sabri Lamouchi’s squad.
Forest take on Brentford in the Championship tonight and it will now be interesting to see whether Rodriguez is in the 18-man squad.
The report claims that Getafe have agreed to sign the 27-year-old on a three-year deal.

It would be extremely late in the day for Forest to start selling players who have been part of the team this season.

With Robinson gone many predicted that Rodriguez would now act as a backup for the whole defence.
That might not be the case and Forest would need a replacement, certainly as left-back cover, if he was to leave.
Forest have added Adama Diakhaby to their ranks so far this month but the club will surely be hoping for more.
A striker is still required, whilst a defender would be needed if Rodriguez departs.

The left-footer would be a loss to Sabri Lamouchi’s squad.
According to Who Scored, he makes an average of three clearances a game and wins an average of three aerial challenges.
One of the big attributes of Rodriguez is that he is left-footed.
He has offered the back four some balance this season and it’ll be interesting to see what the club has planned if they do sell Rodriguez.
