Nottingham Forest have announced the departure of Chema Rodriguez who has joined La Liga outfit Getafe in a permanent deal.
The transfer was confirmed on the club’s official website and means that Rodriguez leaves despite only signing in the summer.
The 27-year-old proved a popular figure in the eyes of supporters.

He was signed as a centre-back who could operate on the left-hand side but as a left-footer, he filled a void at left-back too.
According to AS, the Reds have recouped £1.6 million for the defender who has penned a three-and-a-half-year contract with Getafe.
Rodriguez played 10 games in all competitions in total and made his last appearance for the Reds in a 1-1 draw with Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
Forest signed the player from Levante in the summer. He made his Forest debut in a 3-2 win over Stoke City in September.

He is joining Getafe who are on a high. They currently sit fourth in La Liga and hold ambitions of reaching the Champions League next season.
News of his departure has shocked Forest fans, although the vast majority have wished him well.
