Sabri Lamouchi’s men saw their seven-match unbeaten run come to an end. They had moved to within two points of the automatic promotion places with victory over Brentford on Tuesday, but weren’t able to back that up with another three points.

The Reds may have feared the worst when Lewis Grabban missed the opportunity to put them two goals ahead from the penalty spot. This gave the hosts belief that they could get back into the game, and they did.

One player who did impress on a disappointing day for the Reds was Tiago Silva.

The 26-year-old had given the Reds the lead after just 18 minutes with a well-taken finish. Not only this, but he was one of the standout performers on a below-par afternoon for Lamouchi’s men overall.

The Nottingham Post reported that he was signed for a seven-figure sum in the summer. There’s no doubt that whatever the Reds paid for his services, it’s been money well spent.

‘Better than gold’, ‘Quality’

And plenty of Nottingham Forest fans have lauded the midfielder. Silva hadn’t scored in the Championship prior to his strike yesterday, and many supporters feel it was a long time coming.
