Nottingham Forest went unbeaten throughout January in the Championship with three wins and two draws.
Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi has subsequently been named the Championship Manager of the Month for January.
The Frenchman has impressed over the past month. The Reds have established themselves as genuine contenders for automatic promotion and remain one of the most in-form sides in the division.

In addition, the month’s five games yielded nine goals, with just five shipped. Forest’s 1-0 win against Brentford at Griffin Park remains one of their standout results from this season.
Lamouchi saw off competition from Derby County’s Phillip Cocu, Bristol City’s Lee Johnson and Stoke City’s Michael O’Neill in claiming the monthly accolade.
His award marks a turnaround from last season’s frustration, when Forest saw their promotion push capitulate under the management of Martin O’Neill.

Following the announcement on Nottingham Forest’s official website, some fans took to Twitter and voiced their opinions on the coach:
Some fans, meanwhile, expressed some caution, given what has been deemed of the Manager of the Month ‘curse‘.
Admittedly, Forest’s February didn’t get off to a great start with a 2-1 defeat against Birmingham City last time out.

That being said, the Reds have the opportunity to gain points on those above them in the coming weeks.
They face a huge game against Leeds United at the City Ground in the Championship tomorrow.
If they can win that, then their hunt for automatic promotion to the Premier League will be firmly back on track.
