Nottingham Forest saw all their hard work from the weekend undone as they were beaten 1-0 by Charlton Athletic at the City Ground.
The Reds beat Leeds on Saturday and a win over the Addicks would have lifted Forest above the Whites into second.
Lyle Taylor’s first-half goal proved decisive though and saw Charlton boost their push towards Championship survival.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi opted to make five changes to his starting line-up and it backfired miserably.
The Reds never really looked like scoring, particularly in the second half and Charlton were worthy of their victory.
Several players came in for criticism on social media after the performance, one of which was Carl Jenkinson.
He made his first league start since August having spent time on the sidelines with an ankle problem.
It showed that the 28-year-old hadn’t become accustomed to playing football and he was yards off the pace.

Forest fans weren’t happy with the ex-Arsenal performer after his latest showing and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
Jenkinson cost Forest £2 million during the summer and on last night’s showing, he might be forced to wait a while for his next outing.
Here is a selection of tweets from Forest fans on Jenkinson’s performance last night:
