Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 with West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns to maintain their place in the top-six of the Championship.

The Reds were forced to come from behind twice on an afternoon where referee Keith Stroud took centre-stage for an abysmal performance.

A clear foul on Sammy Ameobi went unpunished and a West Brom break ended with Tobias Figueiredo putting through his own goal.

The Reds were then denied a clear penalty when Bartley handballed inside the area.

Forest weren’t to be denied a reward for their efforts, however, and Matty Cash’s stoppage-time piledriver ensured a share of the spoils for the Reds.

One man who was instrumental in a solid Forest performance was captain Ben Watson.

Experience

The 34-year-old rolled back the years with a smart showing the middle of the park and protected the back four with elegance and intelligence.

Following the game, his performance was recognised by the club’s official Twitter account, with supporters responding.

Watson is out of contract in the summer but on current form, he’d be worth an extension.
