Tobias Figueiredo can be considered unfortunate to have seen his Nottingham Forest copybook blotted on a couple of occasions this season.
For the most part, the Portuguese has been a model of consistency.
Patience and persistence has been rewarded.
To the point that the 26-year-old is now the preferred centre-half partner for Joe Worrall.
Michael Dawson has been nudged into a cheerleading role.
Forest’s club captain can have few arguments with that tactical choice.
Figueiredo brings many of the same qualities to Sabri Lamouchi’s side.
Graft can be mixed with guile.
A powerful presence is, though, a kick it and head it option above all else.
That is, after all, his job.
Get the basics right and worry about any extras afterwards.
Challenge

Cross-field passes and surges out from the back are all well and good, but keeping opponents at bay is the bread and butter.
Figueiredo positively revels in that challenge.
With the general consensus being that he does not always get the plaudits his performances deserve.
That can often be the world in which centre-halves operate.
Headline-grabbing is not all that easy when charged with the task of preventing goals, rather than scoring them.
Figueiredo does have a couple to his name this season.
At the right end.
He has also put past Brice Samba on two occasions.
Own goals are another unfortunate consequence of operating at the heart of a back four.
On a regular basis, any player filling such a spot is going to find themselves in a position they don’t want to be in.
Nightmare

Most notably, facing their own net with the ball approaching at pace.
Figueiredo has found himself living that footballing nightmare over recent weeks in meetings with Reading and West Brom.
A swipe against the Royals was unlucky and a bundle home versus the Baggies massively unfortunate.
On the first occasion, he maybe could have done more.
Second time around, he was merely in the wrong place and the wrong time as a hopeful cross slipped through two pairs of legs.
He can at least point to the fact that he has countered those efforts this season.
A match-winning goal was even recorded in a home date with Wigan.
To go with the opener in a 4-0 victory over QPR.
The Rs are now on the agenda for Forest once more, with Mark Warburton due back at the City with his current charges on Saturday.
If Figueiredo could repeat his heroics from Loftus Road, then he would be back in credit for 2019-20.
Few would argue against him deserving a positive slice of luck.
