Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash has once again been named in the Who Scored Championship Team of the Week.

The 22-year-old right-back has been a regular feature throughout the season, highlighting just how well he has been performing.

Cash is included this week on the back of his performance in the goalless draw against Queens Park Rangers at the City Ground on Saturday.

The right-back won three tackles during the 90 minutes, whilst also making one interception and making three clearances.

Cash has been ever-present under the management of Sabri Lamouchi. Given that he isn’t a right-back by trade, his performances so far this season have been nothing short of exceptional.

Impressive

In truth though, Jenkinson hasn’t stood a chance of getting into the starting line-up ahead of Cash, given his performances.

It wasn’t a surprise when Cash was linked with a move to the Premier League in January.

The Reds may have to secure promotion to the top flight themselves to ensure they can keep hold of the right-back for next season.

It may be difficult to fend off interest again in the summer if they are still in the Championship.

Cash won’t be doing himself any harm if he keeps up his current level of performances.

Lamouchi has made the Reds an extremely difficult side to beat, and Cash is a key reason behind that.

If the Reds do secure the promotion this season, the defence will take a lot of the credit.
