Sabri Lamouchi’s men would’ve been confident of getting three points against Mark Warburton’s side, but they couldn’t land a killer blow.

Lamouchi made a bold call by introducing 22-year-old midfielder Ryan Yates off-the-bench in yesterday’s game. There are a number of supporters that feel he isn’t yet up to the required standard for a team chasing promotion.

Yates was introduced with around 30 minutes of normal time remaining for Sammy Ameobi. He wasn’t able to help the Reds secure the three points, despite the fact Joe Lolley missed a glorious chance late on.

Fans have been taking to Twitter to criticise Lamouchi’s decision to bring Yates on. Some suggested that they knew the Reds wouldn’t win the game ‘as soon as’ Yates was introduced for Ameobi.

Others were criticising Lamouchi for not bringing Alex Mighten or João Carvalho on much earlier in the game. By the time they came on, they didn’t have much time left to make an impact.
