Nottingham Forest were forced to settle for a draw against Swansea City as they edged themselves closer to a play-off place.
The Reds twice equalised through Sammy Ameobi and the 2-2 draw leaves them five points clear of Millwall in seventh, with six left to play for.
It wasn’t a vintage Forest performance by any means but their display in the final half-an-hour offered hope that they can cement their play-off place.
Following last night’s entertaining game we looked at the players and rated their performance out of 10:
Brice Samba – 6
Had a moment of madness in the second half that nearly allowed Andre Ayew to score but was otherwise steady.
Carl Jenkinson – 7
Was left isolated in the first 20 minutes as Nuno Da Costa struggled with the concept of tracking back. Grew into the game though and seemed to enjoy his second successive start.
Tobias Figueiredo – 5
A clumsy night from start to finish for the usually reliable defender. Figueiredo was desperately lucky to avoid a red card from referee Oliver Langford.
MORE FOREST STORIES

Joe Worrall – 8
Edging back to his best, the academy graduate was one of Forest’s standout performers. Up against Rhian Brewster and Ayew, it was always going to be a tough night but he coped well.
Yuri Ribeiro – 7.5
Another energetic performance from Forest’s left-back who looked to shake off some fatigue from recent weeks.
Ben Watson – 7.5
Held the Forest midfield together well but was powerless to prevent Conor Gallagher running riot in the first 20 minutes.
Samba Sow – 7.5
A really powerful performance from the Malian who showed no signs of his knee injury causing him problems. Was unlucky to be cautioned.
Ryan Yates – 6
A tough night for Yates who gave away a penalty at the end of the first half. Looked a lot brighter following the introduction of Tiago Silva.
Sammy Ameobi – 10
Wow! Forest’s very own rocket man. Ameobi produced not one but two magic moments to help the Reds earn a valuable point.

Nuno Da Costa – 5
The Cape Verdian’s worst performer since the restart. He struggled to get going and seemed to lack the energy that has been so evident in recent games.
Lewis Grabban – 7
Largely fed on scraps but his hold up play during the final half an hour was a joy to behold. Never really looked like adding to his 20 goal haul.
Substitutions
Tiago Silva (Sow, 56′) – 8
Stole the show following his introduction with energy, tricky and an abundance of desire to get Forest forward.
Joe Lolley (Da Costa, 76′) – 6
A neat cameo from Lolley who did seem to be holding back somewhat. Will hopefully be fit to start at the weekend.
Michael Dawson (Figueiredo, 76) – 6
The central defender offered some calmness to the back four for the remaining 15 minutes of the game.
Alex Mighten (Ameobi, 77′) – 7
Getting better with each cameo performance he makes. Was hacked down by Kyle Naughton leading to the Swansea man seeing red.
