Nottingham Forest have this afternoon confirmed the permanent signing of midfielder Jack Colback and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
The midfield enforcer has signed permanent terms at the club, having previously joined on loan on two separate occasions.
Colback left Newcastle at the end of the 2019/20 campaign after making 102 appearances for the Magpies; helping the club win promotion to the Premier League earlier in his career.
The midfielder hasn’t played since a 2-0 defeat for Forest back in 2019, after suffering an injury last season and due to Newcastle not naming him in their 25-man Premier League squad.
Colback brings bags of experience to the football club and his arrival will bring some proven Championship expertise to Forest.
The 30-year-old arrives on a free and will look to help the Reds in their quest to get over the disappointment of missing out on the play-offs last season.
Following his signing, supporters took to Twitter to speak of their delight.
Plenty had waited patiently for this one to get over the line, with the majority wanting him back at the club since his departure.
