Nottingham Forest are chasing Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy, according to Team Talk, and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
It is also thought that Championship rivals Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Derby County are also interested.
The 25-year-old started out at Norwich City and was part of the team that won the FA Youth Cup during the 2012/13 campaign, along with his brother Josh.
During 2019/20, Jacob spent the season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday; enjoying a second loan spell after featuring for West Brom the season previous.

Murphy netted nine times for the Owls last season, registering six assists. A move to back to Hillsborough does look unlikely with finances extremely tight amid a 12-point deduction for the 2020/21 campaign and he looks set to go elsewhere.
Forest will certainly go in search of some more attacking talent during the transfer window – with wide areas a particular consideration.
Forest had Joe Lolley and Sammy Ameobi out wide last season but after those two, options are limited.
Following the latest links to the tricky winger, supporters have been voicing their opinions on Twitter and it seems a loan would be popular.
Murphy signed for Newcastle for £12 million (BBC) and earns £25,000-a-week (Spotrac), making a permanent deal unlikely.
Here is what Forest fans have been saying about the potential arrival of Murphy.
You’ll do me.

Good move if true.

I think Colback, Jacob Murphy, Lyle Taylor and Tyler Blackett would all do a good job for us next season. I think we will still need more attacking options if we are to challenge next season, maybe a couple of good premiership loans #nffc

Would take that
