Nottingham Forest recruit Lyle Taylor has told London News Online that he will do his best to fire the Reds back into the Premier League following an absence of over 20 years.
The 30-year-old left Charlton at the end of last season and Forest fought off stiff competition from Celtic, Derby County and Stoke for his signature.

Taylor copped some slack from Charlton supporters, with many believing he chose not to play for the club at the end of last season due to a pending Premier League move.
The striker says that wasn’t the case but is now fully focused on getting Forest over the line in their quest to win promotion.
He told London News Online: “We weren’t short of options, I was in a fortunate position with interest from all around the world.

“I had to weigh up what was best for me in terms of playing at the highest possible level. People mistook that as though it meant I was going to play in the Premier League – no.”
“I want to test myself and be given a fair crack in this league. I’ll do my best to help the club get back to where they want to be.
“The plans they have for the stadium and training ground shows they want to put this club back at the top table. It’s down to the players, staff, manager and fans to make it happen.”
Quality
Hotshot Taylor might just provide Forest with a little spark they were sometimes missing in the attack last season.
Although Lewis Grabban scored 20 goals during 2019/20, it will be nice for Sabri Lamouch to be able to call upon a slightly different option.

Taylor’s game is about more than just scoring goals and supporters should be delighted with the player’s work rate and commitment levels.
The Reds were denied a play-off place on the last day of 2019/20 and having Taylor might just be the difference this time around.
It seems as though Forest fought off some stiff competition for his signature and he’ll want to hit the ground running with his new club.
