Arvin Appiah recently saw the curtain come down on his first season away from Nottingham Forest after his move to Almeria last summer.

His departure saw the Reds rake in £8 million and his first season in the Segunda Division very nearly ended in dream fashion.

Appiah helped Almeria to fourth place in the division, losing out in the play-offs to Girona.

Following his maiden campaign in Spanish football, the former Forest winger has tweeted his delight at how it has gone.

The 19-year-old made just eight appearances for the Reds after coming through the academy under the wing of Gary Brazil.

It was anticipated he might play a part in Sabri Lamouchi’s squad last season, playing 76 minutes of an EFL Cup tie against Fleetwood Town.

It wasn’t to be though and Forest received a decent transfer fee for a player who had barely scratched the surface in a red shirt.

During his first season in Spain, he scored once in 21 appearances but was largely used as an impact substitute.

What might interest Forest fans is that Almeria fans seem delighted at the youngster and have been quick to react on Twitter.

Here is a selection of Tweets from supporters of the Spanish club, giving Forest fans an idea of how highly-rated Appiah is at his new team.
