Nottingham Forest could be handed an interesting stroke of luck in the transfer market courtesy of bitter rivals Derby County.
Reds defender Matty Cash is subject of interest from Fulham, according to The Telegraph, and losing him would represent a real blow.
Now, however, it would seem the Cottagers are also interested in signing Rams full-back Jayden Bogle, with the academy graduate valued in the region of £10 million (Derby Telegraph).

With Forest valuing Cash closer to the £15 million mark, it could see Scott Parker go for the cheaper option, essentially taking a club out of the running for the Reds performer.
It would certainly be an interesting twist of fate and it wouldn’t be the first time Bogle has helped Forest out of a tight hole.

During the first Championship East Midlands-derby last November, Bogle’s misplaced backpass allowed Lewis Grabban to pounce and win the day for Forest.
It might not mean much should Fulham opt to sign a right-back from another club, with Aston Villa, Leeds, West Ham and Sheffield United all thought to be interested.
Forest would dearly love to keep hold of their prized asset though, with Cash one of Sabri Lamouchi’s top performers last season.

The former youth team player made 2.6 tackles per game and an average of three clearances per game last season, according to Who Scored.
If Forest kept one of their main men at the expense of Derby losing a talented youngster of their own, it would be an even sweeter feeling for supporters.
Cash claimed the club’s Player of the Year and if Forest could somehow keep him it would be as good, if not better, than any signing the Reds make this summer.
