Nottingham Forest fans might be keeping a close eye on Marcus McGuane this season during his loan spell at Oxford – and it appears the youngster has hit the ground running.
The ex-Arsenal youngster arrived at the City Ground earlier this year from Barcelona where he failed to earn a proper opportunity.
Oxford defeated Forest’s Championship rivals QPR on Saturday and their supporters were quick to rave about the performance of McGuane on Twitter.

Some eyebrows were raised when Forest allowed McGuane to leave the club on loan, with some anticipating he might earn a chance under Sabri Lamouchi.
The 21-year-old is a central midfielder and looks set for an extremely bright future in the game.
If he performs well this season at the Kassam Stadium it should set him on his way towards returning to Forest and forcing his way into the first-team.
McGuane did play twice for the Arsenal first-team under the management of Arsene Wenger and in making his debut for Barcelona he became the first Englishman to do so since Gary Lineker.
Following his performance against Championship opposition at the weekend, we looked at what Oxford fans were saying about the performance of McGuane.
