Nottingham Forest are set to miss out on the signing of Liverpool trickster Sheyi Oji with the winger set to join Cardiff City, according to Goal.
Liverpool correspondent Neil Jones is claiming that Forest were particularly interested in adding the player to their ranks.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with Rangers but after a bright start to life at Ibrox, he faded somewhat.

Under the influence of Steven Gerrard, he scored five goals and registered five assists and he might have proved a decent signing for the Reds.
Forest have Joe Lolley, Sammy Ameobi, Nuno Da Costa and Alex Mighten all battling out for the spots on the flanks.
With Da Costa still adapting to English football and Mighten still relatively raw, it’s no surprise to see Forest targeting another option.
Cardiff did have Albert Adomah on loan from Forest last season and Ojo could prove a direct replacement for him.

The Liverpool youngster has played 13 times for the first-team at Anfield and would have arrived at the City Ground with Championship experience.
He has played for Wigan, Wolves and Fulham in the second tier, whilst he also spent time in France with Stade Reims.
Some supporters might see missing out on Ojo as no big deal.

The winger quickly fell out of favour at Rangers and it would have perhaps been a risky deal.
He was unlikely to come in and take the place of either Lolley or Ameobi and Forest not pushing harder for his signature might be no bad thing.
With the season starting on Saturday, boss Sabri Lamouchi can now discount Ojo as a potential target and start looking elsewhere for another winger.
