Sky Sports pundit Tony Cottee has made his predictions ahead of the new Championship campaign and Nottingham Forest fans should absolutely love them.
The former West Ham and Everton forward has predicted Forest to win promotion to the Premier League alongside recently relegated Watford.
Cottee, 55, collected seven caps for England and these days goes around the grounds for Sky Sports Soccer Saturday.
During a Tweet on Friday morning, Cottee made his predictions and his Forest pick might be somewhat surprising to some people.
So, I’ve been thinking about it. #TheChampionship is about to kick off this weekend & my predictions for the top 2 to go up automatically at the end of the season is #nottsforest #watford. My predictions have been known to be off the mark so don’t take my word for it 😂 #efl pic.twitter.com/LGoiVnSKBh

Referring to Forest as ‘Notts Forest’ won’t have gone down too well in the eyes of supporters but his choice of promotion winners might do.
The Reds will hope to put the demons of last season to bed when the Championship campaign kicks off tomorrow.
Forest head to QPR and given the short turnaround from last season, it’ll be interesting to see how the Reds respond.
Sabri Lamouchi’s team missed out on the play-offs in the final minute of the final day last season, slipping out of the top-six for the first time since Boxing Day.
That is all in the past though now and Forest have several new players in their ranks.
Jack Colback, Tyler Blackett, Lyle Taylor, Fouad Bachirou, Miguel Angel Guerrero and Luke Freeman have all bolstered the ranks.
It might take Forest some time to settle into the campaign but there is enough quality in the squad for them to get it right this season.
If the new signings have the desired impact, there’s absolutely no reason why Cottee’s prediction can’t come true in May.
