Nottingham Forest will take on Cardiff City this weekend and some footage from the club’s official media team suggests Brice Samba is in good shape going into the game.
The goalkeeper has been snapped producing a stunning close-range stop from Alex Mighten during a training exercise and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
The Congolese performer quickly established himself as the number one goalkeeper last season, ousting on-loan Aro Muric after signing from Caen for £1.8 million.
Samba kept 16 clean sheets for the Reds last season but just one of those came after the restart when Forest eventually threw away their chance of a play-off place.
The Reds have added Abdoulaye Diallo to their ranks this week, with the Senegalese custodian set to add competition to the goalkeeping ranks.
Samba looks like he will keep his number one status, however, and Diallo’s arrival looks to have upped Samba’s game in training already.

Some supporters claimed the 25-year-old looked a little out of sorts during the final seven games he played last season and he will hope to get back to the form he showed when he first arrived.
Following the latest footage emerging, we looked at what supporters were saying about Samba’s moment of brilliance on the training pitch.
