A report by the Daily Record claims that Nottingham Forest could pay up to £5 million for Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna.
It’s also claimed that both Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs to have made offers for the 16-time Scotland international.
Forest look to have won the race to sign the uncompromising left-footed defender, however, with details of the deal claimed by the Scottish outlet.

It’s thought that Forest will pay the Dons an initial £3 million, with the Premiership side to receive another £2 million in add ons, with an additional payment if the Reds reach the Premier League.
Aberdeen have also insisted on a 20% sell on clause being included in the deal.
Taking everything into consideration, Forest don’t seem to be getting themselves a bad deal at all.
Aberdeen rejected a bid of £7 million from Aston Villa two years ago for the centre-back, with boss Derek McInnes citing it was too late for them to find a replacement.

Forest have moved quickly to try and arrest their inability to keep a clean sheet by landing the highly-rated international.
Competition
It would seem that one of Tobias Figueiredo or Joe Worrall will be giving way, with the Portuguese performer looking most likely.
McKenna is solid in the air, can play out from the back and at 23 he comes to the City Ground yet to reach his peak and with his best years ahead of him.

Forest are yet to score a goal in three games during 2020/21 and desperately need to hit some form at Huddersfield Town on Friday evening.
Boss Sabri Lamouchi needs a lift from somewhere and the signing of McKenna might help him shore up his leaky defence at the very least.
