Nottingham Forest last night announced the signing of midfielder Harry Arter on a permanent deal from Bournemouth.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan with Fulham and his performances in the middle of the park helped the club to promotion.

Earlier in his career, Arter helped Bournemouth reach the Premier League for the first time, making 256 appearances for the Cherries during a 10-year spell.

Arter boasts 100 top-flight outings to his name and looks every inch one of Forest’s better signings this summer.

The dynamic midfielder scored at the City Ground last season as Fulham defeated Forest 1-0 in the race to reach the Championship play-offs.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi will know he needs a win from somewhere and Arter should go into the squad for Friday’s visit to Huddersfield Town.

The Reds have lost all three of their opening games of 2020/21, two in the League and one in the Carabao Cup.

Forest haven’t scored a goal yet and something needs to change if Lamouchi is to revive the club’s fortunes and keep his job.

Following Arter’s arrival, supporters were quick to praise the deal on Twitter and here is a selection of Tweets from the Forest faithful.
