Nottingham Forest have this afternoon completed the signing of Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna, as confirmed on the club’s official website.
The Reds have moved to bolster their backline after losing their opening two Championship games 2-0 to QPR and Cardiff City.
McKenna has 16 Scotland caps to his name and made over 100 appearances for the Dons after rising through their youth ranks.
The uncompromising central defender is left-footed and should bring some balance to the Forest back four.

It certainly seems like a signing that has delighted the club’s supporters, with plenty of them taking to Twitter to speak on the new arrival.
It is thought that Forest have agreed to pay £3 million potentially rising to £5 million for McKenna, with Aberdeen also including a 20% sell-on clause (Daily Record).
Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo are the current first-choice central defensive pairing but it seems set to change.
With Loic Mbe Soh arriving from PSG, it seems that both Worrall and Figueiredo will be looking over their shoulder.
McKenna does look like a solid addition on the face of things and it’ll be interesting to see whether he makes his debut at Huddersfield on Friday.
Following his arrival, here is a look at what Forest fans think to their latest recruit.
