Joao Carvalho signed for Spanish outfit Almeria on a season-long loan last night and Nottingham Forest supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
The 23-year-old started the Carabao Cup defeat against Barnsley earlier this month but has failed to make any of the three Championship squads.
Carvalho signed for Forest in 2018, costing the club a club-record £13 million from Portuguese outfit Benfica.
The man with 20 caps for the Portugal under-21 team scored six goals and registered nine assists during his 67 outings for the Reds.

Carvalho never really got the chance to impress Sabri Lamouchi, who never really had a place in his team last season for a No.10.
The youngster needs to play some games and the loan at Almeria will certainly hand him a chance to do just that.
Carvalho will link up with Arvin Appiah who joined the Segunda Division side from Forest in August 2019.
The Portuguese magician has often divided opinion at the City Ground but plenty of fans seem to be disappointed with this departure.
Both Lamouchi and Martin O’Neill never really saw the fascination with Carvalho and a move seems like the best outcome.
Here is a selection of Tweets from the Forest faithful as Carvalho looks to revive his form in Spain.
I’m soooo confused. Someone please explain the plan to me. pic.twitter.com/1eAE4ow2U3

Leaves on loan. We’re such a shambles we can’t even sell one of the better players in the bomb squad. No chance of getting rid of the others

Absolute joke. We cant score, play defensive midfielders constantly Can’t create. And in the 2nd half of the season & beginning of this he’s been totally frozen out & we play dire football. It couldn’t be more clearer he’s a player we need to be playing not getting rid of #NFFC

Good luck Joao. A sad moment when players with your ability are allowed to leave.
