Nottingham Forest suffered their fourth defeat of the season in the Championship and their seventh on the trot since the back end of last season, as Bristol City won 2-1 at the City Ground.
The Reds fell 2-0 behind inside 22 minutes with Andreas Weimann and Nahki Wells scoring to pile the pressure on Forest.
Luke Freeman put the Reds back in with a chance as his delightful long-range effort became Forest’s first goal of the campaign.
It quite simply wasn’t good enough, however, although supporters took to Twitter to praise new signing Nicholas Ioannou.

The left-back checked in for £750,000 from APOEL last month and started for the first time against the Robins.
It has to be said he started the game a little bit overawed and was caught out defensively on a couple of occasions.
He did grow into the game though and his delivery into the box certainly impressed the Forest faithful.
Yuri Ribeiro looks like he could be on his way out of the club and it’s important that Ioannou gets up to scratch quickly.
In tough conditions, this was a decent debut and Forest fans will hope to see more from the 24-year-old.
Here is a selection of Tweets from Forest fans regarding the debut of Ioannou.
I remember folk moaning we were signing another LB in Ioannou, the lad has been class, great crosser, so in saying that, bring on Cafu!! If he can do Sow's job better and pass better it will be a great option off the bench..

Same as the Cardiff game, started far too slow & were always going to be the team on top when Bristol City sat back.
Thought Ioannou looked good when going forwards & Mighten was lively.
Think that could be it for Lamouchi in this results driven business. #NFFC

Ioannou can cross a ball that’s for sure unfournately got Bentley having game of his career #NFFC
