Nottingham Forest forward Nuno Da Costa departed the club on transfer deadline day with the 29-year-old joining Belgian club Royal Excel Mouscron.
Da Costa has penned a season-long loan deal and his new club will hold an option to make the transfer a permanent one next summer.
The forward didn’t really cut the mustard at Forest and failed to score in 13 appearances for the club, registering one assist during his outings.
Following his departure, Da Costa has taken to Instagram to post a heartfelt message regarding his time turning out in the famous Garibaldi jersey.

Few words to thank @officialnffc for the opportunity to wear the garibaldi enjoyed the time I’ve spent there with marvelous people teammates, staff and all the people working in the club. I wish you the best for the rest of the season hope the club will be back where he belongs #Ureds❤️
Da Costa signed for the Reds for £1.8 million from Ligue 2 outfit Strasbourg where he had played a large amount of his football as a striker.
The player showed flashes of what he could do but was largely used as a winger as opposed to through the middle as an out-and-out frontman.
That may have hampered his progress and although he didn’t really make the grade on the pitch, it seems he was popular in the dressing room.
Following his departure, Matty Cash who moved to Aston Villa in the summer, Alex Mighten and Brennan Johnson responded to his emotional Instagram post.
Da Costa’s departure does leave Forest a little short of wide options and it would appear Mighten will start to feature more prominently.
The youngster was brilliant against Bristol City on Saturday and with Joe Lolley currently out injured he, along with Sammy Ameobi, are the only wingers in the squad.
With the domestic window set to close on October 16th, the Reds will surely look to sign a wide player before the deadline.
