Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton wants to add Fulham winger Anthony Knockaert to his ranks as he gets to work at the City Ground.
According to reports, the 28-year-old has been identified by the new incumbent as a player he wants to bring to the East Midlands.
Knockaert only recently signed permanently at Craven Cottage, with the club holding a permanent obligation following last season’s loan stint.

He scored four goals in 39 games during 2019/20 as Fulham won promotion to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Despite the fact he’s only recently penned permanent terms with the top-flight newcomers, he doesn’t appear to be in Scott Parker’s immediate plans.
With that in mind, Hughton is keen to add a player to his ranks who he clearly knows all about.
During the 2016/17 campaign, Knockaert scored 15 goals and claimed nine assists as Hughton led Brighton into the Premier League.
The following campaign he was a regular in the team and his tireless approach perhaps deserved more than the three goals and two assists he claimed.

In total Knockaert is a veteran of 190 Championship appearances, scoring 36 goals and claiming 34 assists.
He is quick, skilful and has no problems with the direct approach of getting the ball and attacking his full-back.
Forest have already added 13 players to their ranks this summer and Hughton might well want to offload some before the deadline on October 16th.
It seems natural he will have his own ideas though and with that might mean one or two players arriving at the City Ground on loan.
Knockaert would have Joe Lolley, Sammy Ameobi and Alex Mighten for competition on Trentside.
NFN Verdict – Knockaert better option that Grosicki
Forest have also been linked with a move for West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki but the Fulham player might prove a better option.

Grosicki is 32 and he will probably be seeking one last payday before his career dwindles to a close.
Fulham trickster Knockaert is only 28 and with the right management, he could rediscover his very best form.
According to Spotrac, the winger earns £35,000-a-week at Craven Cottage and Forest will need some help with the salary.
If a deal can be struck though, the former France under-21 player could become a City Ground favourite very quickly.
