Nottingham Forest have signed Anthony Knockaert on loan from Premier League outfit Fulham until January – and Celtic star Shane Duffy and ex-Red Paul Konchesky have reacted on Instagram.
The 28-year-old has been reunited with Chris Hughton after the pair helped Brighton and Hove Albion to promotion during the 2016/17 campaign – becoming a mainstay in the team under the new Forest boss.
Knockaert had fallen down the pecking order at Fulham. Despite helping the club to promotion from the Championship last season, he failed to play a single minute in the Premier League so far during the current campaign.
Hughton has seemingly identified the Frenchman as a new signing since his arrival last week. Now, after signing for the Reds, Knockaert has posted on Instagram with the ink drying on his loan deal.
As a player who has thrived under Hughton previously, it seems likely that Knockaert will become a first-team regular at the City Ground following his arrival. Joe Lolley, Sammy Ameobi and Alex Mighten will also provide competition out wide.
Celtic star Shane Duffy played with Knockaert at Brighton with the pair enjoying some memorable times at the AMEX Stadium. He told Knockaert on his post to go and show everybody what he is capable of at the City Ground.
Konchesky spent a short time on loan at the City Ground back in 2013 as Forest reached the Championship play-offs. He played 15 games for the Reds and told Knockaert to go and ‘smash it’ during his loan spell.
